Guru Releasing New Single Chhad Gayi on Speed Records

Don't ever give up on your dreams. 

Have you seen this Official Teaser of Guru? The name is Chhad Gayi 

This song's lyrics, composed and sang by Guru. What a great talent to have his first released single due out any day soon. Though he had a duet with Arjun, everyone was taken by his talented vocals. The duet was Same Girl and has been a success already on YouTube. It continues to gain interest since its sung in english too. The story of two friends meeting up to get fitted for jackets as they talk more, they realise maybe this sounds familiar, are you sure we not talking about the Same Girl? Surely this Same Girl cannot be the same girl. She happens to drop by with her fancy car and her clothes and to Guru and Arjuns surprise, it is the Same Girl. To make things worse, she comes in with another guy. 

I find myself not liking this Same Girl, as she did my friends wrong. 

Thats why I am anticipating Guru's next song, for the title Chhad Gayi means "Left Me". I will no doublt cry and wonder why Guru gets his heart hurt again. I will now not like this girl either, but I don't know anything about this new Single. All I know is about the "Title" and that makes me already angry and wanting to hear it now. We all  have been waiting patiently and I am sure Guru will deliver a song every guy and girl has been through. I only heard those few words below on the teaser, and I am so impressed with his voice and he plays piano too? 

This Guru will become a much sought after artist for years to come. Now Mr. Guru can we get our song now?

"“I grew up listening to a lot of Bollywood music, so that was definitely an inspiration, although I don’t make Bollywood or Asian music,” explains Shahid. “Most of my childhood was spent hearing all those big epic film soundtracks, and it has definitely inspired me a lot. I do apply those influences to my music. In particular, there’s a guy called AR Rahman and, when he started, I began to appreciate Bollywood music in a different way."

Chicken Breasts with Strawberry Avocado Salsa

You will love this recipe, as this is the closest to the one I make every week.
Though I use Dash as the seasoning, with olive oil only on the chicken. 
This is what I fix for guests, and friends. I even cooked my chicken to my sister
 and to this day I think they call it Lynn's Chicken. I try to find recipes as close as
 possible as the ones I make for my healthy lifestyle. 


Chicken Breasts with Strawberry Avocado Salsa

4 chicken breasts
2 ripe avocados
Driscoll’s strawberries 250 grams
1 clove of garlic
1/2 red pepper, seeded
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
6 tablespoons olive oil
salt and pepper



Chicken Breasts with Strawberry Avocado Salsa

Cooking time: 25 minutes
Difficulty level: easy
Makes: 4 servings

Instructions
puree half the strawberries, garlic and red pepper with a hand blender and add 2 tablespoons of olive oil to it
cut the remaining strawberries and avocados into cubes and mix them with the strawberry sauce and then leave to marinate
season the chicken on both sides with salt and pepper
heat a frying pan and fry the chicken in the remaining olive oil over medium heat until they are cooked and appear to be golden brown on all sides (8-9 minutes)
turn the fillets over regularly while cooking
serve the chicken with the strawberry avocado salsa
white rice and green vegetables such as broccoli or green beans are a tasty accompaniment for this dish.

EU donates $13.5 million to Sandy Banana Growers

The EU has provided $13.5 million to banana growers who were hit by Hurricane Sandy.

The funds will go towards the purchasing of fertilisers and insecticides.

Some 1,000 farmers are expected to benefit.

Farmers in the eastern parishes of St. Mary, Portland and St. Thomas saw extensive damage to their 
farms, following the passage of Hurricane Sandy last October.

The project which is funded through the European Union Banana Support Program is being overseen by RADA, the Banana Board and the All Island Banana Growers Association.
